Garland GOP Visits the Fair
The Republican Party of Garland County maintained a booth at the fair this year for the thousands of fair goers. Larry Bailey and Ron Treaster did a great job of setting up an attractive booth that favorably represents our party. Attendance for the first three days was disappointing because of poor weather, but was better for the last several days. We passed out lots of pens, bumper stickers, note pads and refrigerator magnet calendars to visitors.
Several of our Republican announced, and some unannounced, candidates were present at the booth to greet folks and answer questions. Lots of people picked up information on our meetings and showed interest in participating with us to work for the election of conservative candidates for state and county offices. Hopefully the interest showed will be apparent in increased attendance at our monthly meetings.
Continue to share the good news that there are folks here in Garland County that truly want better government. There is more interest in what’s going on politically in our country now that there has been in a long time and the majority of that is in favor of our party. Continue to help us to encourage people to participate and to find good conservative candidates to make sure there are no unopposed races in this county in 2010!
